This graph is based on CNN Transcripts of Reliable Sources, hosted by Brian Stelter.

The method was to search all transcripts for the following terms (bottom of page), RELATIVE TO TRUMP. For example, a result of “health care” would not count. Instead, it had to be something like, “the President’s health.” It was not enough for a term to appear. Only Trump-related uses were counted.

NOTE: In October of 2016, based on the stolen emails, Trump accuses the mainstream media of COLLUDING with Hillary and democrats. Then, in March of 2017, Stelter accuses Trump of COLLUDING with FOX (these instances were not counted in the graph). In that same episode, Russian COLLUSION is referenced for the first time. And everyone ran with it, at least until someone told them it wasn’t illegal.

It should be obvious that this is not in any way exhaustive. There are dozens of other synonyms and variations that weren’t included. For example, terms like psychopath, whopper (for lie), dementia, derangement, African-Americans, Blacks, Mexicans and many others, Not to mention, at least three episodes, within the graph’s time-frame, do not have transcripts.

Brian didn't mention this much. He mostly did it on other shows. I included Muslim because of the popularity of the term Muslim ban.
